OCEMS data logger
Designed for CPCB and State Board connectivity
The unit that sits between your instruments and the pollution control boards. It reads every instrument over Modbus RTU on four independent RS485 ports, stores each reading in its own memory, and uploads continuously to the board portals and to the SYZE monitoring platform.

What the unit does in the field
- Four independent RS485 ports
- Each instrument gets its own port, so an analyser that stops responding cannot block the pH electrode or the flow meter. A second analyser or another flow meter can be added later without new hardware.
- Every reading stored before it is sent
- Readings are written to the unit's 16 GB storage first, then uploaded. Nothing depends on the network being up at the moment of measurement.
- Uploads to the boards and to our server
- The same reading goes to CPCB, to the State Pollution Control Board and to the SYZE platform, each in its own format and cadence, each logged with the reply received.
- Catches up after an outage
- If the link drops, logging continues. When it returns, stored readings upload in order, so a network failure costs no data.
- A silent instrument is recorded as silent
- When a sensor stops responding the unit records a zero and flags it, rather than repeating the last good value. A run of zeros is a defensible record of an instrument being down; a stale number is not.
- Settings protected on site
- Sampling interval, alarm limits and calibration sit behind a service passcode, and the nameplate warns against opening, relocating or interrupting the unit.
Connectivity
- Ethernet
- RJ-45, preferred where a router is available at the outfall.
- Wi-Fi
- Dual-band, for sites where cabling to the panel is impractical.
- Bluetooth
- Local service access during commissioning.
- 16 GB on-board storage
- Holds readings through an extended outage.
- Low power draw
- Runs from a small UPS through a supply failure.
- On-unit processing
- Readings are handled on the device itself, not only in the cloud.
From the outfall to the board
-
Instruments
Analyser, pH electrode and flow meter, each on its own RS485 port.
-
Data logger
Reads over Modbus RTU, flags each reading and stores it on the unit first.
-
Upload
Ethernet or Wi-Fi to CPCB, the State Board and the SYZE platform, each in its own format.
-
Evidence
Every submission kept with the data sent and the reply received.
