OCEMS in Punjab

Online continuous effluent monitoring connected to PPCB and CPCB

The Punjab Pollution Control Board watches online monitoring data itself. In June 2026 it set up an Online Monitoring Cell at its Patiala headquarters to keep round-the-clock watch on OCEMS, ambient air stations and other online systems, and to oversee their uninterrupted connectivity with PPCB servers.

We supply and install the instruments and the data logger, connect the station to PPCB and CPCB, and keep it running. Our team works from Sirsa, on the border with Punjab's Malwa districts.

What we deliver for a Punjab plant

Analysers and flow meters
COD, BOD, TSS, TOC, turbidity and temperature from one optical probe, a pH electrode, and electromagnetic or open-channel flow measurement.
PPCB connectivity
Each station's readings go to PPCB's server in the board's own format, and every submission is recorded with the board's reply, so a connectivity question can be answered with evidence.
CPCB connectivity
The same readings go to CPCB's new OCEMS portal as 15-minute values, encrypted with the credentials CPCB issues for each device.
Watched around the clock
Alerts when a station stops sending, when data stops reaching a board or when a reading crosses its limit, so a gap is fixed before it becomes a notice.
Calibration and service
Calibration against standards, cleaning and repairs by our own field team.

Questions from Punjab plants

Is OCEMS the same as OCMMS?

No. OCEMS is the monitoring system at your outlet: the instruments, the data logger and the connection to the boards. OCMMS is the board's online consent management and monitoring system, where consents are handled.

Which parameters are monitored?

For effluent, as a rule pH, flow, BOD, COD and TSS, with more where your consent asks for them, such as TOC, turbidity or temperature.

Do we need a separate system for CPCB and for PPCB?

No. One data logger feeds both boards; our platform sends each its own format.
