PHED Bawal asked for online monitoring of BOD, COD, TSS and pH at the outlet of Dharuhera Town's sewage treatment plant, with a comprehensive maintenance contract for ten years after completion. A station that must give defensible readings for a decade is chosen and built differently from one that only has to pass commissioning.

Built to be maintained
Over ten years the cost of a station is mostly its upkeep. A reagent-free optical probe means no chemicals to buy, store or dispose of for COD, BOD and TSS; a data logger that stores every reading means an outage costs no data; and settings that can be checked remotely mean most faults are cleared without a visit.
What we did
Online analysers at the outlet
An optical probe for COD, BOD and TSS and a pH electrode in the outlet channel, each on its own RS485 port.
Our data logger
Every reading stored on site before it is sent, and uploaded continuously.
Every upload logged
Each submission kept with the data sent and the reply received.
Ten years of maintenance
Cleaning, calibration against the laboratory, repairs and connectivity watched by our own team for the contract's ten years.
